Community Midwives

Ante-Natal Care is carried out jointly by the Midwife and General Practitioner.  Home visits can be arranged by the Midwife who also makes Post-Natal home visits and advises on breast feeding.  Parent Craft classes are available at Campbeltown Hospital.

Community Nurses

The community nursing team delivers a service in the home setting to those unable to manage their health care needs independently.  Nursing and Personal Care Packages are managed jointly with the Community Nursing Service and Social Work Department. 

The team is based in Campbeltown providing a daily service between the hours of 8.30 am and 9.30 pm.

A member of the team visits Carradale patients on Monday and Thursday each week for routine requirements, but are available daily if required.  Should you require their service, please telephone 01586 555802.

If there is no reply, please leave a message on the answer machine, giving your name, address and telephone number.Outwith these times, you must contact NHS24 on 111.

Health Visitors

Child Health Surveillance is conducted by the GP in conjunction with the health visitor who is based at Campbeltown Hospital and sees children there or in the home.
